Business Process Outsourcing in the GCC

Synergi runs finance, HR, procurement, marketing and technology functions for organizations across the Gulf, from a business incepted in the UAE with delivery centres both onshore and offshore.

Markets

One back office across several Gulf entities

Groups operating across the GCC rarely have one back office. They have several: an entity in the UAE with its own payroll, a subsidiary in another market on a different system, a branch run out of a spreadsheet, and a group finance team reconciling all of it at the end of every month.

Synergi consolidates that work into one function with one set of processes, one service catalogue and one accountable lead, without moving anyone's legal entity or waiting for a group-wide ERP programme to finish first.

The company was incepted in the UAE and has grown across the Gulf since, with delivery running from centres both onshore and offshore. That matters for cost, and it matters more for time zones and language.

Work is delivered as consulting, manpower augmentation or full business process outsourcing, and the majority of engagements use more than one of the three.

Multi-entity by default

A Gulf group is normally several legal entities in several jurisdictions, and a back office designed for one of them does not survive the second. Our operating models start from that assumption rather than discovering it in month three.

Consolidation without disruption

Functions move across on a dated plan, one at a time, against service levels agreed before anything is transferred. Nobody has to stop running the business to reorganise the business.

Questions

Questions we are asked about outsourcing in the GCC

Can one shared services function serve entities in several GCC countries?
Yes, and that is usually the point. The processes and the service catalogue are common; what stays local is whatever the jurisdiction genuinely requires. Deciding which is which is part of the design engagement rather than an assumption made before it.
Do you deliver onshore or offshore?
Both, and the split is a design decision rather than a default. Location strategy is one of the outputs of the assessment, weighed against cost, time zone, language and the sensitivity of the work.
Which engagement types do you offer?
Three: consulting, manpower augmentation, and full business process outsourcing. They are frequently combined, for example consulting to design a function and outsourcing to run it once it exists.
We already have an ERP programme running. Should we wait?
Usually not. Process and operating-model work is what makes an ERP programme land properly, and doing it first tends to shorten the programme rather than delay it.
Which functions can you take on?
Six: human resources, accounting, procurement, marketing, technology and AI and project management, individually or as one combined function.
Do you work with a specific country?
We publish a page for each market where we have genuine delivery experience — today the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The rest of the GCC is served by the same teams from those offices.
